FOCUS: The students will use their knowledge and understanding of Native American literature characteristics to review for the Test on Native American Literature.
ACTIVITIES:
1) Review for Test on Native American Literature by taking notes.
2) Students wrote a summary of "The Sky Tree" and "Coyote Finishes His Work."
3) K-W-L and graphic organizer/notes check and discuss
HOMEWORK:
1) Study for test tomorrow. Review all class notes, handouts, the Powerpoint and read the literature again to prepare for the test tomorrow. I will collect the K-W-L and the N.A. g.o. tomorrow before the test.

NATIVE AMERICAN LITERATURE
Passed down orally from generation to generation, Native American Literature has unique genres, characteristics and purposes. Three common types of stories are creation myths, trickster tales and chants.
